Job summary

The role includes dispensing medications, monitoring therapies, and providing pharmacological information to health care professionals, while participating in staff training and quality improvement initiatives in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Licensed by the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy.
• Minimum 2 years hospital pharmacy experience.
• Strong ability to interpret medication orders and communicate with health care practitioners.
• Solid understanding of drug compositions, uses, pharmacology and interactions.
• Numerical skills to measure, compound and prepare reports.

Responsibilities

• Review physician orders and patient data to prepare medications.
• Monitor drug therapies and advise on interventions.
• Organize and supervise pharmacy technicians' workflow and labeling processes.
• Provide pharmacological information to health care professionals.
• Support continuous quality improvement through drug utilization reviews.
