Job summary

Jackson Hospital is seeking a pharmacist to provide quality pharmaceutical care by monitoring patients' medication therapy and assisting in developing a clinical pharmacy program. The role includes recommending appropriate drug therapy, serving as an educational resource to patients and health care professionals, and supervising technical staff.

The pharmacist will use computer systems to enter orders and dispense medications and IV solutions accurately, ensuring checks on all technical work

Qualifications

• Pharmacist must hold current Alabama licensure.
• Includes controlled substances permit and parenteral license.
• BCLS provider (ACLS preferred) and preceptor license when eligible.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients' medication therapy and assist in developing a clinical pharmacy program.
• Recommend appropriate drug therapy and educate patients and health care professionals.
• Utilize computer systems to enter orders and dispense medications and IV solutions accurately.
• Supervise technical staff and check all technical work before doses are dispensed.
