Job summary

Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center seeks a supplemental clinical pharmacist to join our team. Residency training is highly desired; related clinical experience acceptable in lieu of residency.

Position will provide 2 to 3 shifts per week with day and evening variations. This role involves clinical and operational responsibilities across multiple patient care areas including transitions of care, internal medicine, neurology, surgery, trauma and critical care.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of hospital pharmacist experience with knowledge of unit dose medications and IV admixture processes.
• Residency training is highly desired; related clinical experience acceptable in lieu of residency.

Responsibilities

• Fill and label prescriptions; provide drug information to patients, staff, and medical staff.
• Supervise pharmacy technical staff; mentor pharmacists, residents, and students.
• Participate in Medication Use Evaluation and Process Improvement programs.
• Maintain medication profiles and assist in therapeutic drug monitoring.
• Prepare IV solutions and additives; document clinical interventions.
• Ensure adherence to Memorial Hermann policies within budget and quality standards.
