Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist in Texas; Sterile Product certification required if sterile compounding.

Responsibilities

• Fills and labels prescriptions and educates patients and staff about medications.
• Dispenses controlled substances and maintains inventory records.
• Supervises pharmacy technicians and mentors students or residents.
• Participates in Medication Use Evaluation and Process Improvement programs.
• Maintains medication profiles and ensures safe, effective drug therapy within hospital policies.
• Collaborates in multidisciplinary rounds to optimize patient care.

Education

Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy

Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of Texas
