Children's of Alabama in Birmingham, AL, is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to provide specialized pharmaceutical services across the main campus and satellite units.
The role includes advising physicians on drug usage, participating in education programs for Pharmacy staff, medical staff, and students, and ensuring safe, accurate medication delivery 24/7 operations.

Work schedule will be Full-time on the Day Shift, Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4pm.
Responsible for providing specialized pharmaceutical services to include advising physicians on matters pertaining to drug usage and control within assigned hospital locations; and participate in the development and delivery of continuing education programs for Pharmacy, Patient Care Services, Medical staff and students.
The Pharmacy Department operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide excellent pharmaceutical care to Children’s of Alabama Patients. Services include, compounding of sterile and non-sterile medication, pharmacokinetics, medication order verification, OR preference bags, hazardous medication dispensing and compounding, clinical pharmacy services, unit-dosing of medication, automatic dispensing machines (Pyxis), investigational study pharmacy, medication delivery and more. The pharmacy operates out of a central pharmacy located in the Benjamin Russell building. Decentralized services are provided by clinical pharmacists on the units and several pharmacy satellites (main campus OR, Children’s South, hematology/oncology clinic, Investigational Pharmacy). The pharmacy utilizes Epic, Epic Willow Inventory, bar code scanning, vertical carousels, and kit management software.
Schedule: M-F 7:30-4, Day Shift, 8-Hour Shifts
