Job summary

Baptistfirst is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist in Pediatrics for Baptist Medical Center East in Montgomery, Alabama. The role includes providing leadership for clinical pharmacy activities and promoting safe, effective medication therapy.

The ideal candidate will hold a PharmD degree and possess strong leadership and communication skills. Responsibilities include staff development and ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical practices. The position is full-time with a shift of 7 on / 7 off.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy required, PharmD degree preferred.
  • Completion of an ASHP-accredited residency program or a minimum of 2 years' experience.
  • Active RPH, Active Alabama Controlled Substance certification, and BLS required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for all clinical pharmacy activities within assigned area.
  • Support staff development to meet competency standards.
  • Promote safe and cost-effective medication therapy.

This individual shall provide support for staff development so that staff meets minimum competency standards. The Pharmacist shall maintain knowledge of current pharmaceutical practices and policies. Additionally, the Pharmacist will support management by providing oversight, guidance, and support for all assigned areas. This individual shall participate in the planning, organization, implementation, and follow up of new programs and activities. The Pharmacist will promote safe, appropriate, and cost-effective medication therapy throughout the department. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.**Education/Experience:**Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy required, PharmD degree preferred.
