Children's of Alabama Pharmacy at Main Campus is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a 7-on/7-off Day Shift (7am–5pm). The technician will plan and manage procurement of pharmaceuticals and supplies for the hospital and associated departments, supporting compounding, unit-dosing, verification, and dispensing.
The role requires an Alabama Pharmacy Technician License and a Certified Pharmacy Technician Certificate.

The Pharmacy Department operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide excellent pharmaceutical care to Children’s of Alabama Patients. Services include, compounding of sterile and non-sterile medication, pharmacokinetics, medication order verification, OR preference bags, hazardous medication dispensing and compounding, clinical pharmacy services, unit-dosing of medication, automatic dispensing machines (Pyxis), investigational study pharmacy, medication delivery and more. The pharmacy operates out of a central pharmacy located in the Benjamin Russell building. Decentralized services are provided by clinical pharmacists on the units and several pharmacy satellites (main campus OR, Children’s South, hematology/oncology clinic, Investigational Pharmacy). The pharmacy utilizes Epic, Epic Willow Inventory, bar code scanning, vertical carousels, and kit management software.
