Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking Pharmacy Technicians for Centennial Hills Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas. Under supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will assist in preparing and distributing medications, maintain inventory, and recordkeeping in a hospital setting.

Qualifications include a Nevada Pharmacist License, 2 years of hospital experience (or PGY‑1 residency), and proficiency with Microsoft Office and hospital information systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Doctorate degree in Pharmacy (BS Pharm or PharmD) from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of two years experience, preferably in a hospital setting or completion of at least one PGY-1 residency.
• Automation experience with knowledge of reporting features.
• Current Pharmacist License in the State of Nevada

Responsibilities

• Pharmacy Technicians assist the pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications.
• Maintain the drug inventory and maintenance of records.
• Operate in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines and state and federal regulations. They do not perform duties that require a licensed pharmacist.

Job Description

Pharmacy Technicians, under the supervision of a license pharmacist, assist in the various activities of the pharmacy department. Pharmacy Technicians assist the pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory and maintenance of records. Pharmacy Technicians function in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines and state and federal regulations. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

Bachelors or Doctorate degree in Pharmacy (BS Pharm or PharmD) from an accredited institution.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of two years (2) experience, preferably in a hospital setting or completion of at least one (1) year in a pharmacy residency (PGY-1) required.

Technical Skills:

Automation experience with knowledge of reporting features. Microsoft Office and knowledge of hospital information system.

License/Certification:

Current Pharmacist License in the State of Nevada
