Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking Pharmacy Technicians to support Centennial Hills Hospital Medical Center. Under pharmacist supervision, you will assist in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining inventory, and recordkeeping in accordance with procedures and regulations.

Applicants should have a Bachelor's or Doctorate in Pharmacy and at least two years of hospital experience (or PGY-1 residency). Knowledge of automation and hospital information systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Doctorate degree in Pharmacy (BS Pharm or PharmD) from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of two years experience, preferably in a hospital setting or completion of at least one year in a pharmacy residency (PGY-1) required.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications.

• Operate in accordance with standard procedures and regulations.

Job Description:

Pharmacy Technicians, under the supervision of a license pharmacist, assist in the various activities of the pharmacy department. Pharmacy Technicians assist the pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory and maintenance of records. Pharmacy Technicians function in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines and state and federal regulations. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

Bachelors or Doctorate degree in Pharmacy (BS Pharm or PharmD) from an accredited institution.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of two years (2) experience, preferably in a hospital setting or completion of at least one (1) year in a pharmacy residency (PGY-1) required.

Technical Skills:

Automation experience with knowledge of reporting features. Microsoft Office and knowledge of hospital information system.
