Centennial Hills Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacy team under a licensed pharmacist. The role includes preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and keeping records in compliance with regulations.

Qualified candidates will have a PharmD or BS Pharmacy, at least two years of hospital experience or a PGY-1 residency, and proficiency with automation, reporting features, MS Office, and hospital information systems.

• Bachelor's or Doctorate degree in Pharmacy (BS Pharm or PharmD) from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of two years experience, preferably in a hospital setting or PGY-1 residency.
• Automation experience with knowledge of reporting features; MS Office and hospital information system.

Responsibilities

• Pharmacy Technicians assist the pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory and records.
• Operate under standard procedures and comply with state and federal regulations; perform duties not allowed to pharmacists.

Job Description:

Pharmacy Technicians, under the supervision of a license pharmacist, assist in the various activities of the pharmacy department. Pharmacy Technicians assist the pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory and maintenance of records. Pharmacy Technicians function in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines and state and federal regulations. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

Bachelors or Doctorate degree in Pharmacy (BS Pharm or PharmD) from an accredited institution.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of two years (2) experience, preferably in a hospital setting or completion of at least one (1) year in a pharmacy residency (PGY-1) required.

Technical Skills:

Automation experience with knowledge of reporting features. Microsoft Office and knowledge of hospital information system.

License/Certification:

Current Pharmacist License in the State of Nevada
