Job summary

Summerlin Hospital in Las Vegas, NV, is seeking Pharmacy Technicians to assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining drug inventory, and keeping records. Work under supervision in a busy hospital pharmacy.

Qualifications include High School diploma or equivalent, Nevada Pharmacy Technician license, and 1 year of experience preferred. Automation experience and knowledge of reporting features are a plus.

Job Description

Pharmacy Technicians, under the supervision of a license pharmacist, assist in the various activities of the pharmacy department. Pharmacy Technicians assist the pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory and maintenance of records. Pharmacy Technicians function in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines and state and federal regulations. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist.

Education

High School graduate or equivalent preferred.

Experience

One (1) year experience preferred.

Technical Skills

Automation experience with knowledge of reporting features (i.e., optimization, load/unload, nursing narcotic access, etc.)

License/Certification

Current license as Pharmacy Technician in State of Nevada, Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or the National Health career Association as a pharmacy technician.
