Job summary

Piedmont Cartersville is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist for full-time nights to join our hospital team. This role focuses on distribution, compounding and clinical medication management for patients across all ages, with supervision of technicians.

A Georgia pharmacist license and ACPE-accredited degree are required, with hospital experience preferred. Schedule is 7 on/7 off night shift, Wednesday night through Tuesday night, 9pm-7:30am, in a dynamic inpatient setting that values patient safety

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy with a Bachelor's or higher in Pharmacy.
• Licensed Pharmacist in Georgia Upon Hire.
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs distribution, documentation and compounding of drugs, solutions and equipment to meet patient and staff needs.
• Reviews, compounds, dispenses and monitors medication therapy across age groups (infants to geriatric).
• Supervises pharmacy technicians and monitors orders to ensure accuracy and safety.
• Provides patient-focused clinical activities to optimize medication therapy.

Responsibilities:

Performs duties of distribution, documentation and compounding related to drugs, solutions and equipment to meet the needs of patients and staff. Responsible for the reviewing, compounding, dispensing and monitoring of medication therapy for infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients which includes dosing variations, nutritional needs and disease states associated with the various age groups. Supervises pharmacy technician activities including monitoring of all orders filled by auxiliary personnel. Assumes responsibility for competency and self-development in professional pharmacy practice. Performs patient focused care clinical activities throughout the hospital, to provide patients with optimal medication therapy.

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy with a Bachelor's or higher in Pharmacy Required
