Job summary

Mercy Hospital Springfield is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist for an evening block schedule to join a top-tier hospital pharmacy team. You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and staff to optimize therapy and improve patient outcomes in a fast-paced setting.

This role emphasizes safety, evidence-based practice, and teaching opportunities for students and residents, with a strong focus on formulary management and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited school.
• Current pharmacist license in the state of practice (or eligibility).
• Missouri licensure requirements or eligibility as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Review medications for safety, effectiveness and appropriateness.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and clinicians to optimize patient care.
• Identify and resolve medication-related issues, adverse reactions and interactions.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust therapies as needed.
• Provide medication education to patients and healthcare teams.
• Act as a clinical resource on formulary management and evidence-based practices.
• Participate in quality improvement, med-use evaluations and patient safety programs.
• Precept students and residents during training.
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and related systems.
