Job summary

Westerville Medical Center is seeking a pharmacist for a full-time, variable shift position. Prior ED experience is strongly preferred and the role includes dispensing, counseling, and managing patient drug therapy.

The successful candidate will collaborate with clinicians to ensure safe, effective therapy and provide mentorship in a team-focused environment within the hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution (required).
• Current Ohio pharmacist license (required).
• BLS certification (current or obtained during orientation).
• ASHP-accredited residency or equivalent experience.
• Pharmacy board certifications or other certifications.
• Advanced-level degree in healthcare field.
• Collaborative practice experience.
• ACLS certification may be required by manager.
• Pharmacokinetic drug dosing experience.
• Drug therapy management experience.

Responsibilities

• Dispense and compound medications accurately.
• Counsel patients on medications and health topics.
• Interpret prescriptions and monitor drug therapy.
• Manage patient drug therapy and adjust as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other health-care professionals.
• Mentor colleagues and communicate clearly.
• Ensure safe, high-quality, and cost-effective drug therapy.
