Job summary

The Kroger Co. in Columbus, OH is seeking a Pharmacist to perform Drug Utilization Review and pre-verification in a centralized, closed-door pharmacy.

You will lead technicians, oversee record keeping, and support MTM and adherence initiatives to improve patient outcomes while upholding Kroger’s core values. Responsibilities include quality assurance, safety program adherence, and collaboration with supervisory staff to resolve operational issues.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist license and a pharmacy degree are required.
• Leadership experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with typical pharmacy terms and processes.
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform Drug Utilization Review and pre-verification workflows in a centralized pharmacy setting.
• Direct technicians in accuracy, workflow, and responsibilities consistent with KHC activities.
• Maintain accurate record keeping and comply with safety and HIPAA requirements.
• Provide customer service to internal and external customers and support clinical initiatives.
• Collaborate with Pharmacy Supervisor and Operations Manager on operational issues and improvements.
• Train and orient new pharmacists and associates; adhere to all laws and guidelines.
