Job summary

The Kroger Co. is seeking a Pharmacist to provide professional pharmacy services, including filling prescriptions, counseling patients, and supervising pharmacy technicians.

The role ensures all services comply with professional standards and regulations while upholding Kroger's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety. You will work to ensure a safe, welcoming pharmacy environment, adhere to HIPAA, manage inventory, and administer immunizations under protocol.

Qualifications

• Board of Pharmacy license must be current and in good standing.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate teamwork to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant working and shopping environment.
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service by showing sincerity, patience and respect in all interactions.
• Adhere to all local, state and federal health and civil codes and guidelines for dispensing drugs.
• Enter prescriptions and patient data accurately into the computer system and interpret physicians’ orders.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and provide prescription information as needed.
• Counsel patients about medications, potential interactions, and administration; ensure understanding of therapy.
