Job summary

Kindred Hospital Chattanooga is seeking a Pharmacist to work with the Director of Pharmacy, dispensing medications and supervising staff. You will interpret orders, ensure safe dosing, and participate in quality improvement initiatives for adult and geriatric patients.

You will maintain drug information, educate hospital staff, and support clinical and regulatory activities to optimize patient outcomes in a long‑term acute care setting.

Qualifications

• Fluent English in reading, writing and speaking.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to work with hospital staff and physicians.
• Commitment to accuracy, safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Director of Pharmacy to dispense medications.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and ensure accurate IV preparation.
• Maintain drug information and provide education to staff.
• Review patient profiles for safe, effective therapy.
• Interpret orders and ensure appropriate dosing for adults and geriatric patients.
• Maintain security of controlled substances and pharmacy area.
• Provide backup support and assist with policy development.
