Zusammenfassung

Kindred Hospital Northland seeks a Pharmacist to work under the Director of Pharmacy, compounding and dispensing medications according to prescriptions and hospital procedures.

The Pharmacist will participate in quality improvement, advise hospital leadership on regulatory and safety matters, supervise staff, and ensure accurate dosing for adult and geriatric patients within a long-term acute care setting.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with Pharmacist degree.
• Current state license in good standing.
• BCLS certification.
• Minimum of three (3) months of experience in pharmacy.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, JCAHO, HCFA and state guidelines.
• Must read, write and speak fluent English.

Aufgaben

• Compounds and dispenses medications and pharmaceutical supplies per physician prescriptions.
• Participates in Performance Improvement plans.
• Consults with Administration, Medical Staff and hospital staff on quality, regulatory and risk issues.
• Supervises technical staff and supports education programs.
• Interprets medication orders and ensures safe, appropriate dosing for adult and geriatric patients.
• Keeps current on new drugs and maintains drug information resources.
