Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited college/school
• Current, valid Pharmacist license in the state of employment
• Strong organizational, prioritization, communication, and analytical skills
• Ability to exercise sound independent judgment when circumstances warrant
• Working knowledge of computers and software used in pharmacy/healthcare environments
• Knowledge of applicable regulatory standards and compliance requirements
• Ability to maintain a professional image and work effectively with interdisciplinary teams

Responsibilities

• Review, prepare, fill, and dispense medication orders accurately and safely
• Ensure medications are handled, stored, prepared, and administered per standards
• Provide drug and medication therapy information to physicians, nurses, patients, and other professionals
• Collaborate with care team to support cost-effective therapies
• Monitor therapy and identify interactions, dosing concerns, contraindications
• Participate in Antibiotic Stewardship Program
• Provide pharmaceutical care suited to patient age and needs
• Support operations involving automated dispensing systems
• Work with IV medications and laminar flow hood processes as applicable
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and hospital standards
• Provide pharmacy leadership in the absence of Director of Pharmacy when assigned
