Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA, seeks a Specialty Clinical Pharmacist to join the Case Management team. This full-time role focuses on safe, effective, and timely pharmacotherapy, with responsibilities including drug information, patient counseling, and collaboration with care teams.

The ideal candidate will hold a PharmD (or equivalent), be licensed in Virginia, and have clinical experience in specialty medications.

Qualifications

  • Doctorate- or PharmD-trained with clinical pharmacy experience.
  • Virginia Pharmacist License required; BLS required; ACLS preferred.
  • Experience in specialty medications and drug counseling desired.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, effective, and timely pharmacotherapy and counseling.
  • Serve as primary drug-information resource for team and patients.
  • Collaborate with Case Management and other providers to optimize therapy.
  • Precept students and train new staff as assigned.
  • Support quality assurance and compliance with policy.
  • Manage patient drug therapy per clinical practice standards.

The base pay range for full-time employment is $148,304.00 - $214,926.40 annually. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
