Job summary

UF Health is seeking a pharmacist to provide and support pharmaceutical care, including medication dispensing, education, and problem identification. The role supports department performance improvement, academic programs, and clinical research, while serving as a liaison to medical and nursing staff.

The position requires a Florida pharmacist license or eligibility within 90 days of hire, with less than one year of pharmacist/intern experience preferred and potential supervision of 3–18 staff.

Qualifications

• Required Education: Bachelors degree in Pharmacy -OR- Pharm D. degree (Doctor of Pharmacy)
• Preferred Education: Post-graduate residency training
• Necessary Skills: Attention to detail and ability to distinguish drug products. Fine motor coordination and manual dexterity. Computer skills and accuracy in calculations. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Supervision of technician employees.
• Required Licensure/Certifications: Registered Pharmacist in the state of Florida -OR- Eligible for Pharmacist license in the State of Florida within 90 days of the date of hire/transfer
• Required Experience: Less than one year pharmacist/intern experience
• Preferred Experience: Experience and/or advanced training in specific practice area.
• Supervision: Supervisory responsibility of 3-18 employees
• Age of Patients Served: All age groups
