Job summary

UF Health in Florida seeks a pharmacist to provide and support pharmaceutical care including medication dispensing, preventing, identifying and resolving drug-related problems, promoting optimal therapeutics and medication education.

The pharmacist will participate in performance improvement initiatives, academic programs and clinical research activities, and serve as a liaison to medical and nursing staff. Supervisory responsibility involves 3 to 18 technicians.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Pharmacy or PharmD required.
• Post-graduate residency training preferred.
• Attention to detail and ability to distinguish drug products; fine motor coordination; computer skills and accuracy in calculations; excellent communication and customer service.
• Licensed or eligible for Florida Pharmacist license within 90 days of hire/transfer.
• Experience: less than one year pharmacist/intern experience; experience in a specific practice area preferred.
• Supervisory responsibility of 3-18 employees.
• Age of patients served: all age groups.

• Required Licensure/Certifications: Registered Pharmacist in the state of Florida-OR-Eligible for Pharmacist license in the State of Florida within 90 days of the date of hire/transfer
• Required Experience: Less than one year pharmacist/intern experience
• Preferred Experience: Experience and/or advanced training in specific practice area
• Supervision: Supervisory responsibility of 3-18 employees
