Job summary

Florida-licensed or eligible within 90 days, with less than one year of pharmacist/intern experience preferred; supervisory duties may involve overseeing 3–18 technicians and pharmacists.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Pharm D. degree required.
• Post-graduate residency training preferred.
• Active Florida pharmacist license or eligible within 90 days of hire.
• Less than one year pharmacist/intern experience required.
• Supervisory responsibility of 3–18 employees.

To provide and support pharmaceutical care including medication dispensing, preventing, identifying and resolving drug related problems, promoting optimal therapeutics and medication education. To participate in the performance improvement, academic programs and clinical research activities of the department. To serve as a liaison to the medical and nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy -OR- Pharm D. degree (Doctor of Pharmacy)
• Preferred Education: Post-graduate residency training
• Necessary Skills: Attention to detail and ability to distinguish drug products. Fine motor coordination and manual dexterity. Computer skills and accuracy in calculations. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Supervision of technician employees.
• Required Licensure/Certifications: Registered Pharmacist in the state of Florida-OR-Eligible for Pharmacist license in the State of Florida within 90 days of the date of hire/transfer
• Required Experience: Less than one year pharmacist/intern experience
• Preferred Experience: Experience and/or advanced training in specific practice area.
• Supervision: Supervisory responsibility of 3-18 employees
• Age of Patients Served: All age groups
