Job summary

UT Health Athens is seeking a PRN Clinical Pharmacist to optimize patient care in a hospital setting in Athens, TX.

Responsibilities include drug dispensing, IV admixture, and providing drug information under the direction of Pharmacy leadership, with supervision of technicians and students. Strong licensure and BLS/Code Blue readiness are required; ACPE-accredited PharmD is preferred.

Qualifications

  • B.S. or Pharm D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
  • Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy.
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
  • ACL&S certification required for attending Code Blue.
  • Completion of the TSBP educational requirements in the field of compounding sterile preparations OR must be capable of completing requirements within 90 days of hire date.
