Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Grand Blanc, Michigan, is seeking a Clinical Patient Liaison for the Clarkston Medical Group. You will authorize drug refills, assist nurses, and handle documentation and patient communications to ensure quality care.

This full-time role requires at least two years in a medical office or hospital setting, with a High School Diploma or GED; Medical Assistant Certification preferred. You will work 8:00am-5:00pm and participate in daily administrative tasks while supporting

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two years of medical office/hospital setting experience.
• Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
• Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies
• Assist nurses and medical assistants to ensure quality care and measures are provided to patients
• Interview patients to complete documents, case histories, or forms, such as intake or insurance forms, PA’s, and denial appeals
• Explain medications, diets, or providers' instructions to patients
• Compile and record medical charts, reports, or correspondence
• Transmit correspondence or medical records by mail, e-mail, or fax
• Performing day-to-day administrative tasks such as scanning, scheduling, placing orders per the providers request, maintaining information files and processing paperwork, such as, sports physicals, health appraisals, FMLA, and disability forms
• Entering, and maintaining information in written or electronic form related to patient care
• Patient and bucket follow-up
• Monthly completion of Eagle training
• Other duties as assigned
