University of Miami seeks a physician-scientist to serve as Laboratory Director in Clinical Pathology or a CP subspecialty. The role requires board certification or fellowship training, Florida licensure, and strong leadership in a high-volume hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Board Certification in Clinical Pathology or subspecialty, or fellowship-trained PhD with subspecialty certification.
• Licensed to practice medicine in Florida or hold a Florida Laboratory Director license in subspecialty (hematology, immunology, chemistry, microbiology).
• Experience with quality improvement methods, team-based work, and compliance with CLIA/JCAHO/CAP.

Responsabilités

• Ensure testing systems provide quality services across preanalytic, analytic, and postanalytic phases.
• Provide on-site supervision and training for testing personnel and ensure proper documentation.
• Maintain accreditations and oversee compliance with safety, hazardous materials, and biohazard policies.
• Participate in educational activities for residents, fellows, and medical students.
• Lead Diagnostic Management Teams and contribute to scholarly activities.
