Job summary

3M HEALTHCARE is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide supportive nursing care under the supervision of the registered nurse. Responsibilities include assisting with routine patient care, data collection, and coordination of admissions and scheduling.

Role involves helping with baths, feeding, and daily activities, while documenting observations and communicating changes to licensed staff. Inpatient and outpatient tasks may include discharge prep and referral coordination.

Qualifications

• Completion of a state approved UAP program.
• BLS HCP certification preferred.
• Ability to perform nursing tasks under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Receives patient care assignment from the RN in charge.
• Initiates delegated tasks based on demonstrated competence for patient age group.
• Collects and documents data for admission assessments and scheduling.
• Communicates patient changes to the nurse and documents observations.
• Assists with baths, transfers, feeding, and personal care.
• Supports with clerical duties like answering phones and organizing medical records.
• Works in inpatient settings and may assist with discharge procedures.
• Maintains supplies and equipment and supports cost containment.
