Job summary

Acadia Healthcare is seeking a licensed behavioral health professional to assess, diagnose and provide psychotherapy to individuals and families with behavioral health disorders. You will conduct psychosocial assessments, develop discharge plans, and lead individual, group, or family sessions within a treatment team.

Documentation and caseload management are essential, with opportunities in inpatient or outpatient settings.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or Human Services required.
• One or more years’ experience with comparable patient population required.

Responsibilities

• Apply psychotherapeutic techniques and interventions in delivering services to individuals and families for treating emotional and behavioral disorders.
• Conduct a psychosocial assessment and develop an initial discharge plan.
• Conduct individual, group or family sessions as appropriate for the treatment plan.
• Provide initial treatment planning based on assessment and coordinate additional services as needed.
• Maintain documentation of therapy services per facility and professional standards.
• Maintain a caseload as assigned.
• Participate in treatment team meetings and collaborate with staff to facilitate services.
• May provide services in inpatient or outpatient settings.
• May perform case management, discharge or aftercare planning.
• Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude toward customers; acknowledge and resolve complaints; patient safety is a top priority.
