Job summary

Acadia Healthcare is seeking a licensed behavioral health professional to assess, diagnose and provide psychotherapy to individuals and families. The role includes conducting psychosocial assessments, developing discharge plans, and leading treatment sessions within inpatient or outpatient settings.

Requirements include a Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or Human Services and one or more years of relevant experience; CPR and de-escalation certification are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or Human Services is required.
• One or more years’ experience working with a comparable patient population is required.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required; first aid may be required depending on state or facility.

Responsibilities

• Apply psychotherapeutic techniques and interventions in the delivery of services to individuals and families.
• Conduct a psychosocial assessment and develop an initial discharge plan.
• Conduct individual, group or family sessions as appropriate for the treatment plan of the patient.
• Provide initial treatment planning for patient based on assessment and coordinate any additional services.
• Maintain documentation of therapy services according to facility and professional standards.
• Maintain a caseload as assigned.
• Participate in treatment team meetings and collaborate with staff to facilitate services.
• May provide services in inpatient or outpatient settings; may perform case management, discharge or aftercare planning.
