Job summary

Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Worcester, MA seeks a full-time faculty member in the School of Optometry - Contact Lens to deliver high-quality learning experiences for the Doctor of Optometry program. The incumbent will teach in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings and mentor students.

The position entails precepting at the Eye and Vision Center, contributing to research, serving on committees, and maintaining expertise in contact lenses and ocular surface

Qualifications

• OD degree from an ACOE-accredited school with licensure in MA or eligibility.
• Completion of an accredited residency/fellowship in contact lenses, or 3+ years clinical experience.
• Evidence of teaching excellence and ability to supervise clinics.

Responsibilities

• Deliver didactic, laboratory and clinical instruction in the OD program.
• Precept students in Eye and Vision Center clinics and assess clinical performance.
• Travel to external clinical sites as required.
• Participate in service, committees and scholarly activities.
• Contribute to course development and program assessment.
