Job summary

Visionworks is seeking a Clinical Specialist/Optometric Assistant to help ensure a great patient experience by preparing patients for onsite and remote examinations, performing pre-exam tests, and explaining steps of the process.

You will liaise between patients and Optometrists, assist during eye exams, document results in EMR, coordinate remote screenings when needed, and help transition patients to retail staff with clear doctor recommendations.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience.
• Optical or Healthcare background preferred.
• Medical office professionalism required.
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Training provided.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for onsite and remote examinations and complete pre-exam tests.
• Assist onsite doctor and document results in EMR.
• Support remote eye exams including pre-testing and coordinating video conferences.
• Coordinate post-exam handoff to retail staff and communicate doctor recommendations.
• Maintain patient records and clinic supplies to ensure smooth operations.
