Qualifications

• One year of related experience in optical or healthcare setting.
• Optical or healthcare background preferred.
• Medical office professionalism required.
• HS diploma, GED, or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams and complete pre-exam testing in EMR.
• Assist onsite doctors with eye exams and document results in EMR.
• Support remote eye exams including pre-testing and video conferencing.
• Educate patients on plan benefits and assist with insurance preauthorization.
• Schedule appointments and manage exam books per guidelines.
• Maintain patient flow and answer clinical questions.
