Job summary

Trinity Health Medical Group in Michigan is seeking an experienced Administrator to supervise medical assisting staff and collaborate with Nursing Leadership and the Practice Manager to optimize patient flow, satisfaction, staff morale, and operational goals.

You will recruit, train, coach MA staff, oversee scheduling and timekeeping, ensure compliance with HIPAA and clinical guidelines, and manage inventory and immunization programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor in management/healthcare preferred.
• Successful completion of MA program and externship; current MA credential or ability to attain.
• Valid CPR certification; MA credential from approved agencies (CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA/CMAC).
• LPN/RN license in Michigan for nurses.
• Minimum 5 years clinical experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of clinical workflows and HIPAA compliance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to train staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of assigned areas to ensure efficient workflows.
• Recruit, hire, orient, train, and coach MA staff; manage onboarding.
• Organize training materials and manage Time & Attendance systems.
• Enter medication, lab, and radiology orders into EMR per guidelines.
• Evaluate staff performance; merit increases and disciplinary actions.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Communicate with leadership, providers, triage and staff; develop protocols.
• Implement inventory control for clinical supplies and immunizations/medications.
• Manage immunization and VFC programs and PAQ coverage when needed.
• Oversee clinical audits; attend meetings; assist budget development.
• Support other offices and participate in committees; perform other duties.
