Job summary

UC Health in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Full Time Clinical Operations Supervisor for the Anesthesia unit on the First Shift at the UC Medical Center. The supervisor assists with day-to-day management of administrative and clinical functions to deliver excellent patient care at all sites.

The role coordinates daily activities, plans work, manages patient flow, and oversees staff training, recruitment, and performance evaluations, ensuring high-quality care and smooth operation of the anesthesia

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three to five years of related experience preferred.
• Certification as an Anesthesia Technician is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise daily activities of the team.
• Plan and schedule work assignments ensuring adequate service levels to physicians and patients.
• Manage daily clinical operations including patient flow and supply needs; resolve issues affecting patient care.
• Perform routine operational efficiency and financial analysis for the unit.
• Maintain excellent relations with physicians.
• Anticipate needs for equipment, supplies and support.
• Address patient concerns and follow through to resolution.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure high quality patient care.
• Oversee recruitment, development, and performance evaluations of staff.
• Oversee training and orientation of new employees; provide ongoing skill training.
• Coordinate patient customer relations functions.
• Assist in resolving disputes among patients, clinic staff and physicians.
