Job summary

Chestnut Dental Associates is seeking an experienced Clinical Manager to provide operational and clinical leadership for a large multi-specialty dental practice in Needham, MA. You will oversee clinical staff across Adult, Pediatric, Orthodontics and Periodontics, drive operational excellence, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a patient-centered culture.

The role requires 5+ years of leadership in dental or healthcare operations, and a degree in Healthcare Administration or related field

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership experience in dental or healthcare operations.
• Multi-specialty dental practice experience strongly preferred.
• Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Clinical Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Strong knowledge of dental clinical workflows, regulatory compliance, and team leadership.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical operations across multiple departments and locations, ensuring efficient workflows, staffing, and patient care delivery.
• Oversee clinical staff, including hygienists, dental assistants, orthodontic assistants, sterilization technicians, and support personnel.
• Manage recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, performance management, and professional development of clinical teams.
• Partner with dentists and specialists to improve provider productivity, patient experience, and operational effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, CDC, infection control, and state regulatory standards.
• Lead process improvement initiatives, implementation of new technologies, and operational best practices.
• Monitor staffing, productivity, labor costs, clinical resources, and key performance metrics to support organizational goals.
