  • Conduct on-site training and competency validation for clinical staff.
  • Observe and evaluate clinic operations to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Coach and provide feedback to staff to improve performance and compliance.
  • Assist in implementation of initiatives and process improvement.
  • Collect and report on operational metrics to leadership.
  • Collaborate with Practice Managers to troubleshoot process challenges.
  • Manage supply inventory and coordinate supply ordering at clinics.
  • Communicate updates and changes to clinic staff.
  • Escalate compliance issues to leadership as appropriate.
  • Adhere to HIPAA/HITECH, OSHA, NCQA PCMH and other guidelines.
  • Travel regularly to all clinic locations.
  • Take ownership of additional responsibilities to improve care and efficiency.

Position summary

The Clinical Operations Lead supports consistent, high-quality care across clinic sites by training and coaching clinical and administrative staff, monitoring workflows for compliance and efficiency, and partnering with Practice Managers and the Sr. Manager of Clinical Operations to troubleshoot operational challenges. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Clinical Operations, this role helps ensure new processes are understood and adopted, operational metrics are tracked, and clinic sites remain compliant with applicable regulatory standards.

Essential job functions
  • Conduct on-site training and competency validation for clinical staff
  • Observe and evaluate clinic operations to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Coach and provide feedback (verbal and written) to staff to improve performance and compliance
  • Assist in implementation of initiatives and process improvement
  • Collect and report on operational metrics to the Sr. Manager of Clinical Operations
  • Collaborate with Practice Managers to troubleshoot process challenges and develop site-specific solutions aligned with organizational standards.
  • Assist with supply inventory management and coordinate supply ordering at clinic sites and at scale.
  • Communicates operational updates and changes to clinic staff and ensures understanding of new processes.
  • Escalate operational issues or compliance concerns to leadership as appropriate
  • Adhere to applicable regulatory guidelines and laws, including but not limited to HIPAA/HITECH, HRSA, NCQA PCMH and OSHA.
  • Travel regularly to all clinic locations throughout the region.
  • Take ownership of additional responsibilities to improve the quality of care, operational efficiency, and/or employee well-being in assigned clinics, as needed.

  • Knowledge of clinical workflows in a healthcare setting.

  • Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office and common healthcare software.

Required qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • MA, LPN, or RN licensure required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a healthcare setting or clinical operations support role.
  • Previous leadership or management experience in healthcare
Preferred qualifications
  • Some college coursework or healthcare certification are preferred.
  • Experience in ambulatory care or community health preferred
  • RN licensure preferred
  • Previous training experience preferred
