Job summary

Community Clinic in Springdale, AR is seeking an experienced Nurse or Medical Assistant to hire as the Clinical Team Lead for the Pediatrics Clinic. The Lead acts as the Practice Manager’s right hand, guiding day-to-day patient care support staff.

The role requires supervisory and outpatient clinical experience and a passion for providing access to care in the community. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current active Nursing license or Medical Assistant certification required.
  • 5+ years experience in patient care in an outpatient setting required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Practice Manager to ensure efficient patient flow and high quality staff performance.
  • Lead the clinic in the Practice Manager’s absence, with DON collaboration.
  • Provide daily leadership to staff, delivering compassionate patient care.
  • Deliver excellent customer service in interactions with providers, patients and coworkers.
  • Ensure adequate staff coverage and develop staffing plans; adapt coverage as needed.
  • Provide direct clinical support to providers when required.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate staff competency.
  • Support supervision and contribute to performance reviews and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate inventory and ordering of medical supplies.
  • Adhere to HIPAA/HITECH, CLIA, HRSA, NCQA PCMH and OSHA guidelines.

Job Summary

Community Clinic is seeking an experienced Nurse or Medical Assistant to hire as the Clinical Team Lead for the clinical team at our Pediatrics Clinic in Springdale, AR. The Clinical Team Lead is the Practice Manager’s right hand and will lead the day-to-day activities of the patient care support team consisting of Nurses and Medical Assistants. The ideal candidate will have supervisory experience, outpatient clinical experience, and a passion for providing access to health care to everyone in our community! This position is Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assists the Practice Manager to ensure efficient patient flow and high quality staff performance.
  • Assumes responsibility of the clinic in the Practice Manager’s absence, in conjunction with the DON.
  • Leads the team on a daily basis, by providing a model of positive, compassionate care for our patients and support to our staff.
  • Demonstrates exceptional customer service while interacting with providers, patients and coworkers.
  • Ensures adequate staff coverage for absences and helps develop work assignments. Includes proactive development of staffing plan as well as the ability to flex coverage daily depending on practice need.
  • Provides direct clinical support to the providers as needed.
  • Trains, mentors and completes staff competency evaluations for both new and existing clinical staff.
  • Assists in the supervision of clinical staff and gives input for performance reviews and corrective action plans as needed.
  • Assists in coordination of inventory and ordering medical supplies, as required.
  • Adheres to applicable regulatory guidelines and laws, including but not limited to HIPAA/HITECH, CLIA, HRSA, NCQA PCMH and OSHA.

  • Intermediate or better using Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel.

Required Qualifications
  • HS Diploma or equivalent required
  • Current active Nursing license or Medical Assistant certification required.
  • 5+ years experience in patient care in an outpatient setting required
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Multilingual ability (especially Spanish or Marshallese) preferred
