Job summary

RMI Global Solutions is seeking a knowledgeable Clinical Operations Coordinator to support our consulting physicians and coordinate patient cases in a fully remote role across the United States.

You will liaise with healthcare facilities, internal teams, and patients, handling administrative tasks, medical information exchange, and return-to-work documentation while ensuring HIPAA compliance and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of health services or healthcare delivery.
  • HIPAA compliance and proper handling of patient records.
  • Valid license or certification in a relevant healthcare field (RN, Paramedic, EMT, or Medical Assistant).
  • Fluency in medical terminology.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, EHRs and related technology.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize competing responsibilities while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Experience in a corporate or office environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate cases from initial emergency management through discharge.
  • Coordinate with imaging facilities and the coordination center to track patients.
  • Maintain timely communication with receiving facilities.
  • Keep designated personnel informed throughout the case process.
  • Coordinate communication of results to physicians and on-site medics.
  • Assist with prescription and pharmacy coordination.
  • Coordinate fit-for-duty and return-to-work documentation.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the leadership.

About the Role

RMI Global Solutions is seeking a knowledgeable and highly organized Clinical Operations Coordinator to support our consulting physicians and facilitate efficient, patient-focused care.

In this fully remote role, you will coordinate assigned patient cases, communicate with healthcare facilities and internal teams, support the exchange of medical information, and assist consulting physicians with patient-related administrative needs. Your work will help improve patient throughput and client satisfaction.

What You'll Do
  • Coordinate assigned cases from initial emergency management through discharge from RMI Topside oversight and care.
  • Communicate with client-selected imaging facilities and the RMI Global Coordination Center to track patients through the imaging process.
  • Establish timely communication with receiving imaging facilities.
  • Keep designated personnel informed throughout the case process.
  • Coordinate the communication of results to consulting physicians and on-site medics.
  • Maintain administrative oversight of daily follow-up patients, without making medical decisions.
  • Receive and respond to patient healthcare-record requests.
  • Support consulting physicians with patient-focused administrative tasks.
  • Assist with prescription and pharmacy coordination.
  • Coordinate fit-for-duty and return-to-work documentation.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Director of Clinical Operations, Medical Director, or consulting physicians.
What You'll Bring
  • Knowledge of health services or healthcare delivery.
  • A strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and the proper handling of patient records.
  • A valid and current license or certification in a relevant healthcare field, including Registered Nurse, Paramedic, Emergency Medical Technician, or Medical Assistant.
  • Fluency in medical terminology.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, electronic health records, and related technology.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to organize and prioritize competing responsibilities while meeting deadlines.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Experience in a corporate or office environment is preferred but not required.
Compensation

The starting salary for this position is $60,000 per year. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, skills, internal equity, and other job-related considerations.

Work Location

This position is fully remote and may be performed from anywhere within the United States.
