Job summary

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in Dietetics or equivalent with ACEND program completion.
• ACEND Didactic Program in Dietetics completion or in final stages with anticipated degree.
• Evidence of Safe Serve Certification.
• Understanding of nutrition science and dietetics in clinical settings.
• Ability to develop nutritional care plans for review by Clinical Dietitian.
• Excellent oral and written communication with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Clinical Dietitian on dietary guidelines and patient education.
• Collects and reviews food and nutrient intake information and preferences.
• Obtains anthropometric information from records or interviews.
• Reviews nutrition risk assessments and documents feedback in the system.
• Provides nutrition plans of care and education as directed by the Clinical Dietitian.
• Responds to patient inquiries about interventions within scope of practice.
• Monitors implementation of nutrition plans and adjusts as needed.
• Interacts with patients and families to discuss care plans and progress.
• Conducts individual and group nutrition education sessions for long-term changes.
