Job summary

CoreCivic is seeking Clinical Supervisors (RN) to lead daily nursing operations in an institutional setting, reporting to the Health Service Administrator. The role involves supervising staff, delivering direct patient care within licensure, and coordinating care for inmates/residents.

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, hold RN licensure, have 2 years nursing experience, and supervisory familiarity. A valid driver's license and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Two years nursing experience required.
• One year's supervisory experience preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Excellent communication and solid nursing/management knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Report directly to the Warden/Facility Administrator or Health Service Administrator for daily clinical operations within the medical department.
• Manage and supervise daily nursing/clinical activities.
• Supervise nursing and non-licensed health care providers; evaluate performance and prepare written appraisals; resolve disputes; approve leave; develop work schedules.
• Provide direct patient care within scope of licensure; apply nursing skills in care and treatment of inmates/residents.
• Ensure adequate staffing; fill in during short staffing; perform duties including prescribing or assisting with medications and referrals as needed.
• Perform triage and physical assessments.
• Perform and direct emergency care and call the Licensed Independent Provider for treatment orders.
