Job summary

CoreCivic in the United States is seeking an experienced RN to lead the new Behavioral Health Unit as Clinical Supervisor or Director of Nursing. This role requires managing daily nursing activities, supervising staff, and ensuring high‑quality care for inmates/residents in an institutional setting.

The successful candidate will provide direct patient care within licensure scope, coordinate staffing, perform triage and assessments, and collaborate with physicians to support treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Must hold an RN license and be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Two years of nursing experience required; supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to train staff and resolve conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Report directly to Facility Administrator or Health Service Administrator for daily clinical operations.
• Manage and supervise daily nursing/clinical activities; evaluate staff performance.
• Provide direct patient care within scope of licensure and manage physician orders.
