Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) who is a Clinical Nursing Student. The role provides direct patient care under RN supervision on the Orthopaedics and Oncology units at West Hospital, with structured clinical exposure and hands-on experience in patient assessment and care.

As a Mercy Health associate, you will engage in patient data collection, documentation, and collaboration with the healthcare team, while developing critical thinking and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• HS/GED required.
• Currently enrolled in a nursing program with at least one clinical nursing course and one clinical rotation.
• BLS (preferred).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN guidance.
• Document vital signs and patient information accurately.
• Assist with hygiene, mobility, feeding, and daily living activities.
• Communicate patient changes to the nurse and care team.
• Deliver high-quality patient service to patients and families.
