Job summary

Mercy Health in Boardman, Ohio (St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital) seeks a Clinical Nursing Student to gain hands-on patient care experience under the guidance of a Registered Nurse in a hospital setting. You will assist with basic nursing tasks, document vital signs, and support the care team while developing critical thinking and professional skills.

Current enrollment in a nursing program and completion of at least one clinical rotation are required; HS/GED is required. BLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS/GED required.
• Currently enrolled in a nursing program with at least one clinical nursing course and rotation completed.
• BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists RN in applying the nursing process and patient care activities.
• Collaborates with RN to ensure quality patient care and accurate documentation.
• Documents vital signs, intake/output, and patient conditions.
• Provides basic patient hygiene and mobility assistance.
• Reports changes or concerns to the nurse and escalates as needed.
