Job summary

Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ is launching an ABSN program in Jacksonville. The Clinical Nursing Skills Lab Coordinator supports the daily operations of the nursing skills lab, preparing the environment for student instruction under the direction of the DNS or nursing lab faculty.

Responsibilities include equipment procurement, maintenance, and inventory; promoting a safe lab environment; and providing technical support for systems and devices used in the nursing lab.

Qualifications

• Experience in a medical/technical lab environment preferred.
• Ability to perform equipment setup, maintenance, and basic repairs.
• Demonstrated ability to promote a safe and organized lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage Clinical Nursing Activities within Clinical Nursing Skills Lab.
• Coordinate day-to-day lab activities including setup and teardown under DNS direction.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment; ensure proper storage and labeling.
• Provide technical support for lab systems and equipment used in nursing labs.
• Oversee disposal of waste materials following regulations; ensure safety compliance.
