Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care and supervision to assigned personnel.
• Conducts performance appraisals and monitors absenteeism.
• Assists with addressing performance issues and disciplinary processes as appropriate.
• Communicates pertinent patient care information to appropriate staff.
• Participates in nursing policy formulation and compliance with regulations.
• Mentors staff and promotes evidence-based practice on the unit.
• Ensures staff meet regulatory requirements and optimal resource use.
