Job summary

VCU Health is hiring for Ambulatory Clinical Nurse I, II and III roles. The positions focus on delivering age-specific care, following medical orders within an interdisciplinary plan of care.

You will safely administer medications, recognize interactions, and provide education while guiding team members at the unit level. RNs must hold Virginia licensure (or be eligible/compact) and pursue RN to BSN within two years.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Associate Degree in nursing required.
• Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible or compact state.
• AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent.
• All registered nurses without a Bachelor’s degree must enroll in an RN to BSN within two years and finish within five years.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred; Clin III certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and documents direct, age-specific care based on medical orders and an integrated plan of care.
• Safely administers prescribed medications and identifies interactions.
• Provides direction, education, and assumes leadership at the unit level.
• Organizes work and supervises others (RN/LPN/Care Partners) as applicable.
