Job summary

VCU Health is seeking experienced Nursing Clin I-III staff to deliver direct, age-appropriate care, document care, and administer medications under physician orders within a multidisciplinary plan of care.

Roles require Virginia RN licensure (or eligibility/compact state), BLS certification, and growing leadership competencies while supporting patient and family needs across shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible or compact state.
• Current RN licensure in Virginia; AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent.
• Clin I/II/III require 3 years of clinical experience and/or progression in responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and documents direct, age-specific care based on medical orders and an integrated multidisciplinary plan of care.
• Safely administers prescribed medications and identifies incompatibilities and interactions.
• Provides direction, education, and leadership at the unit level; organizes work and delegates tasks to staff as applicable.
• Assists health care team with prevention of illness, maintenance of wellness, and provision of comfort.

Education

Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing

RN to BSN progression within 2 years
