Qualifications

• Current unobstructed WA license as an RN/LPN in good standing with no action against that license for working with vulnerable populations.
• Background Check required to work in local Health Agencies.
• Experience working as a NAC Supervisor.
• Long Term Care experience preferred.
• Approved application with DOH/DSHS as a NAC Program Clinical instructor (will be completed after hire).
• Commitment to the education profession and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Actively guide students through state-approved curriculum and learning basic care skills meeting DSHS/DOH skills competency in the lab and in our local long-term care facilities.
• Work with students to meet up to 20 hours of clinical competency check off in classroom lab and between 40-60 hours of direct care in our local long term care facilities.
• Center instruction on high expectations for student achievement.
• Demonstrate effective teaching practices.
• Foster and manage a safe, positive learning environment for all students.
• Communicate and collaborate with Nursing Assistant Program Teacher.
