Job summary

Duke Primary Care South Durham is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team. This clinic, with a skilled team of providers, delivers pediatric and adult care in a welcoming environment.

Hours: 8am - 5pm, Monday to Friday. You will plan and provide nursing care in accordance with established plans, policies, and physician orders, while supporting patient families and collaborating with the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited BSN program.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (or higher) is required.
• RNs without a BSN must enroll within 2 years and complete within 5 years of start date.
• Exception: hires between 2014-2021 encouraged to enroll in BSN within 2 years but complete within 5 years.
• Twelve months of clinical experience is required.
• Must have current NC RN licensure; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, provide and document professional nursing care per policies and physician orders.
• Delegate tasks and supervise other licensed/unlicensed care providers.
• Act as team leader/charge nurse for a group of patients or unit.
• Monitor and maintain environment of care, equipment and resources.
• Support professional development and provide learning opportunities.
• Identify opportunities for performance improvement and participate in initiatives.
• Perform other duties as needed.
