Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
• BSN degree preferred; if associates, enroll in BSN within 12 months and complete within 4 years
• 1-2 years RN experience required
• RN state licensure and/or compact licensure in the practicing jurisdiction required
• CPR certification for healthcare providers (AHA/Red Cross) within 90 days
• C-EFM certification required or within 15 months for new or transitioning perinatal nurses

Responsibilities

• Assess plans and implement nursing care from admission through discharge
• Collaborate with patient and family and interdisciplinary team
• Coordinate care delivery and advocate for patient safety and quality care
• Identify complex patient needs and plan appropriate interventions
• Incorporate evidence-based practice and research into care delivery
• Communicate patient information clearly in verbal and written form
• Lead and delegate tasks and participate in committees and quality improvement
